Accessibility at Tessira
Last updated: June 14, 2026
Our commitment
Tessira is committed to making our website and customer portal usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing effort rather than a one-time checkbox.
What we've built in
- Semantic, structured headings and landmarks, with a "skip to content" link on every page.
- Keyboard-operable navigation and controls, with visible focus states.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images, and decorative graphics hidden from screen readers.
- Colour contrast and type sizing chosen for legibility.
- Respect for your "reduce motion" setting - animations and smooth scrolling are dialled back when you ask your device to limit motion.
- Labelled forms with clear error and status messaging.
Where we're still working
We're early, and we test accessibility as we build. Some areas may not yet fully conform - for example, certain third-party or embedded components, or newer features. We fix issues as we find them, and we'd rather hear about a barrier than have you struggle with it.
Tell us about a barrier
If something on our site or in your portal is hard to use with assistive technology - or you need information in a different format - email support@tessira.ca. Please tell us the page and what happened, and we'll work to fix it and get you the information you need in the meantime.
